MATCH FIXING OR WORLD RECORD?

                     NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION
Four amateur local clubsides in the Nigeria nationwide league namely Plateau United Feeders, Akurba FC of Nasarawa State, Police Machine FC and Babayaro FC were involved a promotional playoff that produced one of the most bizzare results in world football. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday placed an indefinite suspension on the four clubs involved in the scandalous score-lines during promotion play-offs into the Nigeria Nationwide League, the lowest tier of Nigeria domestic League, on Monday.

In a statement signed by Assistant Director (Media), Ademola Olajire, that “in a mind-boggling show of shame never previously witnessed in Nigerian football, Plateau United Feeders somehow manufactured a 79-0 victory over Akurba FC of Nasarawa State, while Police Machine FC demolished Babayaro FC 67-0.The four teams were involved in the promotion play-offs in which the winners would qualify to play in Nigeria Nationwide League Division 3. Now can someone please tell us if this should pass for  match fixing or should it be considered for the Guiness book of world records?

For the records, the combined scoreline from both games is a record 146 goals!!   stand up for the champions.
